Digital Beauties (2001)

The title, Digital Beauties: 2D & 3D Computer Generate Digital Models, Virtual Idols and Characters, is pretty self-explanatory. This book is a big collection of 3D-designed ladies. It features almost 100 artists' work along with short biographies for each, regarding their background and work. It’s really fun seeing and reading about 3D design from back then, especially since I’m currently learning Blender. On each of the artist description pages, there’s also a lil section that says what software they use so that’s a cool lil feature that I appreciate.

That said, for a book that's almost exclusively images of digital women, there are very few female artists featured. Also surprise surprise the book is horny, and veers into porn territory at times. But hey art is art. Also mostly just wanted to let you know there’s gonna be some nudity below, probably not the porny stuff but still. Anyway, the art is sick, really scratches the early 00s sci-fi fantasy computer art itch you know.

Also just a lil note: I organized the scans the same way the spreads are organized in the book-- artist followed by their artwork.
